Culture and History 2 introduces developments of modern architecture to students. It provides students an understanding on architectural theories through their developments.
Project 1: Research Timeline analysis
In a group, students are required to research and analysize the architectural practises throughout history in Klang Valley. Students are to produce a timeline showing the chronological order of the completion dates of the buildings.
My group and I were tasked to do a research on the architectural history in Brickfields, located in the Klang Valley. The timeline below is a compilation of my group together with other groups tasked to research on certain locations in Klang Valley.
Project 2: Report
In a group, students are conduct a research and analysis on a modern building located in Klang Valley. After that, students were required to write a report about the architectural style, concept, building elements and the site context of the building.
My group and I chose The National Visual Arts Gallery located in Kuala Lumpur. My responsiblity was to research and analyse on the architectural style of the building.
