The purpose of this activity center is to celebrate traditional craftsmenship by engaging the public with activities that promotes these crafts. The traditional games that my building promotes are gasing, traditional kite-flying, silat performances and the unpopular sepak manggis. This also allows the crafting process to be viewed and taught by traditional craftsmen.
PROGRAMMATIC DESIGN EXPLORATION
Arrangement of programs are experimented and explored while keeping the various ways on how each programs could respond to each other in mind.
Further research on each program were made and new standards for programs were designed with specific dimensions.
Exploration of the combination of these programs were further experimented.
After exploring different combination of programs and their responses with each other, I decided to use the circular courts of the Gasing and Sepak manggis programs as a base to form my structure.
Here, i played with the idea on how the arrangement of these circular forms could create "ripples" to form my design while having the building cruve around the existing trees.

Through the various explorations done, I've concluded that the main programs would affect the form building more if the circular courts were placed through the building and would create more opportunities for the functions. Schematic floor plans were then made with the various ways the programs can respond to each other implemented onto the building.
