Project 1: Life between buildings - Public spaces

In groups, students are required to conduct an analytical research study on a given city and explore the ideas of "Life between Buildings using Public Spaces by Jan Gehl". Patterns of social activity and analyzed and its contact points are identified. We were given Bangkok as a research study and our analysis are compiled in 2 A3 sized presentation boards. 

Project 2: Comparative Analysis Essay

Students are required to write a comparative analysis essay based on the findings in project 1 from the case study to the designated site study based on our studio project. Students are to analyse the similarities and differences between the two places based on social patterns, types of contact points and the varying degree of contact intensities. Below is my comparative analysis essay. 

Assignment: Synopsis

Subsequent to each thematic lecture, students are required to submit a synopsis in the form of a reaction paper. Its aim is for the students to read a selected reading in relation to the theme that has been discussed in class for the week and submit a reaction paper of the text.  There will be a total of 3 synopses.
